LG UB8000 as 4K Monitor

FIGHT AGAINST IGNORANCE!
The donation goes to pay free tutoring sessions for poor and needy children
who cannot afford expensive afterschool programs.
The rest goes to buy school materials for those who are in need.

I recently purchased the LG UB8000 and use it for my pc-monitor.
I like the TV, and I wanted to try 4K display option.

Nonetheless, with my Radeon 280x, the computer did not display 4K resolution.
So after spending a few hours of researching, I found the hack which makes your LG UB8000 show up the 4k (3840x2150) resolution option on your pc.

1) Download the following files: cru-1.1.2 and atikmdag-patcher-1.3 from
&

2)  Install the both utility. (If you don't know how to install or do setup, read the monitortests forum or post your questions here. If you post your questions here, I will do my best to answer your questions).

The above is the CRU screen, and you can add the desired resolution by pressing 'add' button on top.

And then, this picture is the screen shot of AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher. Just say "Yes."

3) After the setup, restart the computer.

4) Then, go to Windows' Screen Resolution (not ATI's Graphic manager).

5) You will see the 4K resolution option.

Enjoy your new 4k monitor screen!!
